Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. Livestreaming Anglican Reshuffle-1000: Fishing in Wheaton-Evangelical Backyard

http://treadinggrain.com/2013/anglican-1000-church-planting-conference-in-wheaton/

Quite a day getting to the Anglican 100 Summit.   Left home at 11.00 am yesterday and within the hour had missed our connection in Charlotte due to mechanical failure. When we finally make it to Charlotte at 3 pm we find out that we’re booked for an 8.30 flight to O’Hare, landing at 9.40 CST. Tim Winkler, one of our vestrymen traveling with us (Rob Sturdy and Todd Simonis are with me), was able to persuade US Air to put us on a United flight which got in at 7.30. An upgraded car (a BMW X6, complimentary – simply because the Enterprise agent felt bad for us) later and a dinner at Ivy finished off the night.

Looking forward to the day – a great line-up of speakers.

Anglican TV will be livestreaming the conference. You can check out the stream here. The Summit schedule is here.

Heading into Chicago tomorrow night for dinner. Any suggestions?
