Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. Carl Trueman on the 95 Theses — for Reformation Day : Anglican Church League, Sydney, Australia

This is the first Anglican blog of which we are aware that offers something re: Reformation Day. We were asked to write an article for one famous outlet. Initially, we were going to do this. It was an exciting prospect. Upon reflection, we declined for several reasons. Rather, we will sit back--this year--and watch the Anglican blogosphere and media outlets.

This--precictably from Sydney--has one article on the Reformation. We are not optimistic about any other outlets, although Michael Jensen in Australia and Robin Jordan will likely have something to say. Otherwise, terminal Alzheimer's with memory loss characterizes Anglicanism when it comes to the Reformation.
