Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. Iron Sharpens Iron Interview: Did Martin Luther Believe in the Reformed Tulip?

No, a Confessional Lutheran peals some petals off the Reformed TULIP. A fair interview.
The photo to the right is the International Council of Reformed Churchmen at Synod. A dirty little and well kept secret is that King James 1 liked the outcome of the Synod. Five Anglicans attended. Three approved of Dort's outcome, returned to England, and advocated for Dort's "upgrade" to the XXXIX Articles. One returned an Amyraldian. The other converted from Dordtian Calvinism to Arminianism.
Laud was, as we know, a doctrinal disaster for the Church of England, although a strong stream of Calvinists persisted heavily throughout the Arminian days and profound errors of that system of Ich-theologie.
