In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. Dr. Joel Morecraft on the Westminster Assembly

Commendable discussion on antecedents and context of the greatest assembly of divines in English Christianity. Joel speaks favourably of the XXXIX Articles, but observes the weakness and error of American Anglicans who made the Articles optional. We feel there is one weakness here. The utter failure of the Church of England to embrace 98% of the WCF in 1662, not just Anglicans in Philadelphia, 1789. Nevertheless, an excellent audio by a godly warrior and servant of Christ.
