Within Rick Warren’s Purpose-Driven Movement is what he calls Broad Way Christianity. Hmm. Jesus specifically told us that entry to His Kingdom would be via the narrow gate:

… strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matt. 7:14)

Below, thanks to Lighthouse Trails Research’s January 18, 2010 article by Warren Smith, are ‘10 Scriptural Reasons Not to Be Involved with Rick Warren’s Broad Way Christianity’, summarised (emphases mine):

1/ No matter how well-intentioned, salvation does not come by way of the broad gate. Jesus warns us against it. He also cautions us that few will find the narrow gate.

2/ Warren picks and chooses Scripture to suit his needs. He also reinterprets some verses, e.g. the overstating of Noah’s finding God’s favour. Those who do not know the Bible may be deceived.

3/ Warren focuses on today’s temporal issues at the expense of our spiritual malaise.

4/ Warren’s Broad Way Christianity says that Satan’s wiles are ‘entirely predictable’, yet, he advocates a new kind of spirituality and encourages a worldview.
