Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. Stand Firm | Has Presiding Bishop Invitation to Preach at Nashotah Been Withdrawn?

Has Presiding Bishop Invitation to Preach at Nashotah Been Withdrawn?

We’ve heard rumors that the Presiding Bishop “may not” be preaching at Nashotah House.  In an effort to confirm or deny this, a call was placed this morning asking for verification if KJS would be preaching as announced.  The response was that she is scheduled to visit May 1 but the schedule has not been set.  In response to whether or not the previously announced invitation to preach had been withdrawn, the response was “She is scheduled to visit May 1.  We just don’t know if she will be preaching at an actual service yet.”

We will post any additional information as it becomes available.
