Church Society is launching its first blog today, along with this new website. Lee Gatiss, Director of Church Society, explains how the blog will work, with different streams for each day of the week. Bookmark the page. Add the RSS feed to your reader. Memorise the address. Welcome to the new Church Society blog. A range of editors and contributors will be making their marks here over the coming months and years. Our posts will cover a diverse range of subjects, but all related to building on the foundations of the evangelical faith of the Church of England. We’ll have…
Ministry Monday, edited by James Taylor, will explore issues in contemporary Anglican ministry.
Topical Tuesday, edited by Lee Gatiss, will look at the hot topics in the press and in the church.
Word on Wednesday, edited by Rob Brewis, will bring us great audio resources each week, not from celebrities but from ordinary preachers with an extraordinary message.
Theology Thursday, edited by John Percival, will bring out some of our best and most useful historic resources, showing their continuing relevance for today.
Formulary Friday, edited by Mark Smith, will consider an aspect of the official formularies of the Church of England, that is, the 39 Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Ordinal, with an eye on their application for today. I hope you’ll enjoy all that the Church Society Blog has to offer, and will join in the conversation with us on social media. Lee Gatiss is the Director of Church Society.
