Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. (Pravda.Russia TV): Comrade, After Crimea, What's Next?

So, the issue is settled now: Crimea became the part of Russia. Almost 97 percent of its inhabitants voted for this. But, as it always happens, when one issue is fixed, then ten other appear. How will the other Russia speaking regions react? How unjust will be -- if there will be any -- the sanctions against Russia? What strategy should Russia stick to?

Denis Denisov, director of the Ukrainian branch of the Institute of CIS countries: "If Russia has the strategy about what to do next, what actions are better to perform, how to behave in general, then, undoubtedly, it would be better not to stop. If there are just some tactical understanding -- and it often ends up like this -- then we'd better stop before we figure out some strategy and think what we can do next after we have adjoined Crimea". The safety of the Ukrainian south-east is an important issue after some announcements made by the leader of the far-right party Right Sector Dmytro Yarosh, who threatened to provide unrest to the country and even to blow up the gas pipe that connects Russia and Europe. However, such claim doesn't' seem to be serious.

Denis Denisov: "All these announcements of the extremists like Yarosh -- and especially him, concerning the fact, that this is kind of his election campaign. We know that he wants to be a president of Ukraine. And the announcement of him is stupid, even absurd. Moreover, making such announcements - especially about the pipe - he acts against his European and American friends who actually opened doors for him". What do you think of Crimean referendum? Why do the West still consider it as an occupation by Russia despite the fact that people actually wanted it?
