Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. A Loondom Special from "Museum of Idolatry: Church Conference Where Girls Birp Out Loud"

From the "Museum of Idolatry" comes this gem, to wit, an Anabaptacostalist conference hosted by...ahem...Pastor Ed Young and Pastorette Lisa Young, leaders of a large Southern Baptist hothouse in Houston, TX appealing to enthusiasts.  Where is the propriety, dignity and decorum, but alas, folks, it's American religion. Ed and Lisa--no kidding here--is the couple that spent a weekend "in bed atop the church."  News outlets covered the story as old Ed and Lisa were selling one of their sex books.  That was within the last 60 days.  Pastorpreneurs par excellence. The backwoodishness, anti-intellectualism, non-Confessionalism, non-liturgicality, risibility, hillbilly provincialism 3.0 and enslavement and addiction to "scratching itching ears" is large and unabated.  We bring you this Loondom Special...drum roll, please..."Live from Houston" we learn from the "Museum of Idolatry" at: http://www.alittleleaven.com/2012/03/church-conference-where-girls-can-burp-out-loud.html

Church Conference Where Girls Can Burp Out Loud???

Our special thanks to Ed and Lisa Young for this edifying bit of churchly marketing.
