Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. U.S. Marines at Iwo Jima

An American Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, one's life. That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact. Copy and paste this as your status if you are a Veteran, know a Veteran, Love a Veteran or support the Troops.

30,000 Marines go in? 40,000 wait on ships offshore? 21,000 Japanese dug in? This is beyond comprehension, the magnitude of it.

History Channel - Shooutout - Iwo Jima (Part 1 of 5). Good footage and interviews with men who were there. Historic, vetted, and careful commentary. Lest we forget.
