A Service to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the death of Archbishop Thomas Cranmer attracted more than 200 people.
The Prayer Book Society hosted the event at Tewkesbury Abbey.
It included an evensong service from Dean Close School choir and tea.
The service reflected on the life of Cranmer - the first Church of England Archbishop of Canterbury and architect of the Book of Common Prayer.
Abbey vicar, the Rev Canon Paul Williams, said the day was a triumph. He said: "Thomas Cranmer was the Archbishop during the reign of Henry VIII. Many services are based on The Book of Common Prayer. It's beautiful literature."
