Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. Anglican Bishop Peter Jensen: Why I am Protestant Christian

http://www.theologian.org.uk/church/WhyIamaProtestant.mp3 It is well-nigh inconceivable to think of the ACNA Bishops lecturing in this direction...inconceivable.

Why I am a Protestant, Reformed, and Evangelical Christian
by Dr Peter Jensen

A quote from the website:

"With his usual clarity, charm, and boldness, the Archbishop of Sydney outlines the reasons why he is Protestant not Catholic, Reformed not Arminian (or Amyraldian), and Evangelical in the best traditions of that term. Originally given as lectures at a preaching conference in the Northern Region of Sydney Diocese in February 2007, these helpful talks will inform, encourage, and challenge Christians to think more carefully about their identity in a confused and confusing world."

Dr. Peter F. Jensen is the Archbishop of Sydney, Australia and formerly Principal of Moore Theological College in Sydney.

Not an Amyraldian, of note. This lecture is about 60 minutes.

Wikipedia carries this on Dr. Jensen:

"Jensen was born in Sydney and educated at Bellevue Hill Public School and The Scots College. After completing his Leaving Certificate he studied law for two years and worked as an articled clerk before he moved into primary school teaching. He entered Moore Theological College in the late 1960s[2] and won the Hey Sharp prize for coming first in the Licenciate of Theology, the standard course of study at that time. He also has a Master of Arts degree from Sydney University, a Bachelor of Divinity degree from the University of London, and a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degree from the University of Oxford. His 1976 master's dissertation was entitled `Calvinism and the Persecution of the Witches in England (1563–1604)' and his 1979 doctoral dissertation was entitled `The Life of Faith in the Teaching of Elizabethan Protestantism.'"
