GAFCON 2013 Remembered
Just over a year after more than 1,300
leading Anglicans, including 331 bishops, gathered at All Saints Cathedral,
Nairobi for GAFCON 2013, Archbishop Eliud Wabukala dedicated a commemorative
plaque in All Saints’ Trinity Centre on All Saints Day, 1st November.
In his patronal festival sermon the Archbishop,
who is Chairman of GAFCON, said ‘Gathered from different races and
backgrounds from around the world, we experienced here a foretaste of heaven,
that day when the redeemed from every tribe and language and people and nation
shall worship before the throne of God’.
Following the service, the congregation
processed to the Trinity Centre in an act of thanksgiving for this historic
gathering and the Archbishop dedicated the plaque ‘To the glory of God and as a
sign of our solemn commitment to gospel partnership with faithful Anglicans
throughout the world’.
