Robert Gromacki's "New Testament Survey"

Gromacki, Robert G. New Testament Survey. Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Academic Books, 1974.

Some information on Mr. (Dr. Prof.) Robert Gromacki.   Mr. Gromacki is a premillenial, dispensational Baptist, just like our good friend, awesome leader, imperial mentor, infallible guide and authoritative voice before all his multiple transformations, odd manifestations, varied contortions and iterations...drum roll, please...for Mr. (bp.) Ray Sutton. But, back to Mr. Gromacki. ...

“Meet our Faculty and Staff.” Cedarville University. N.D. Accessed August 20, 2013. http://www.cedarville.edu/Academics/Biblical-and-Theological-Studies/Faculty-Staff.aspx

Biography: At Cedarville since 1960. Education and Credentials: (1) Postdoctoral study, Institute of Holy Land Studies (Jerusalem, Israel), (2) Th.D., Grace Theological Seminary, (3) Th.M., Dallas Theological Seminary, (4) Th.B., Baptist Bible Seminary.

Back to the 433-page volume. It has 60 illustrations and pictures, for which this scribe is an easy-sell. It has 8 maps, 16 charts, and 30 chapters. The bibliography, while not utterly exhaustive, is respectable given the limited purpose and intended audience for the book: first and second year college students. As a survey, it incorporates dictionary, encyclopedic, and exegetical gleanings without being any of these.  (But, it is non-Reformed, non-covenantal, non-Confessional, non-liturgical and is premillenial and dispensational.)  But, if one owned and digested the recommended works in the bibliography, one would have an excellent handle on the New Testament. We may build our own biography more fully with him, although Mr. (Rev. Dr. Prof.) Donald Guthrie’s Intro (which we can’t find around here and—on the binding—is broken anyways due to incessant use) is simply unsurpassed. I hope we find Mr. Guthrie's Intro. We'll be looking at his NT Theology in time, a retour. But, back to Mr. Gromacki's book of 30 chapters.
