As 1000s upon 1000s have fled the TEC. There has been a 23% reduction in attendance in the last several years. It's even higher since 1968 when there were 3.8 million members. About 725K attend weekly nowadays and continues to sink. This is a sure-fire technique to draw 1000s (tongue-in-cheek).

Passes Same-Sex Blessing Resolution
The Episcopal Church’s House of Deputies today, in a vote by orders, passed Resolution A049, authorizing the use of same-sex blessing rites.
Vote tallies are as follows
Lay: 86 yes, 19 no, divided 5
Clergy: 85 yes, 22 no, divided 4
Ugh, simply ugh. It's merely another abominable step downward. For those of us who don't have any other good options for church, it hurts so incredibly bad.
ReplyDeleteIt's just not worth aligning with Dispensationalists, seeker-sensitive pseudo churches, charismatics, other mainliners, or Arminians.
May our Lord have mercy.
