Jesse Jackson: Calls Killing Blacks a "Big Business"

What kind of whackjob says that killing blacks is "big business?"  Is there no sense, no honour, no decency, no dignity, and no search for the facts and truth here?  These kind of statements by Jackson are injudicious, imbalanced, over-stated, emotionalized, sensationalized, commericalized, exploitative, insensitive, disreputable, and indecent.  Has Jackson no honour?  Jackson, another exhibit for the Museum of Loons.  Let professionals investigate carefully and cautiously, without the unscholarly hype that we've come to associate with these hustlers needing a narrative, a byline, an audience, some numbers, some photo-ops, some money and a storyline.  Is this what Pastors do?  We hereby nominate the "Rev" Jesse Jackson to our growing list in the Museum of Loons. For our readers, keep the family in prayer assuredly, as well as the law enforcement and legal professionals who investigating...the facts.  Perhaps murder 2?  Manslaughter?  Let the investigation proceed thoughtfully without these two-timing and commercializing hustlers around.  Quite fortunately, intelligent--again, intelligent and reading people--intelligent African-Americans have the scent of this.  He, like many white "Revs," belong in the museum noted above.  Who can abide ignorance and lack of scholarship?  Hucksterism is not confined to any single race, assuredly.  Good God, spare us further words from Rev. Jackson.

Jesse Jackson Sr. told attendees of a Sanford, Fla. town hall meeting Sunday that Trayvon Martin, the African-American teenager who was killed last month in the town, is “a martyr.”

Martin was shot and killed Feb. 26 by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who followed the 17-year-old high school student. Zimmerman told police at the time that he believed Martin looked suspicious.

As it turned out, Martin was carrying a pack of skittles and a bottle of ice tea. Zimmerman has not been arrested, stoking outrage and protests both in the town of Stanford and elsewhere nationwide.

“Trayvon is martyr, he’s not coming back, he’s a martyr, murdered and martyred,” said Jackson Sunday. “Now we must illuminate the darkness with the light that comes from the martyr.”

Jackson told the Los Angeles Times Friday that “blacks are under attack,” adding that “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.”

“No justice, no peace,” he told the paper.

The Martin case has attracted reactions from a range of political leaders. President Barack Obama expressed sadness Friday, saying, “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.” Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich interpreted the comments as interjecting race into the controversy, describing Obama’s remarks as “appalling” and “disgraceful.” (SEE ALSO: Gingrich lashes out at Obama for ‘disgraceful’ comments)
