Of the early Reformers, Bucer, Cranmer, and Luther were conservative and Biblical in what they did with the Liturgy of the Church. Calvin was less so, and Zwingli's ultra radical approach isn't worth considering. The principle used was "maintain what is good, and discard the bad.." So the Sacrifice of the Mass was discarded, Invocation of the Saints, Veneration of Icons, etc. The solid texts used for centuries were maintained.
