Comments on "expository preaching." No longer do we have it we are informed. Carl's wife, from the Isle of Lewis, northwestern Scotland, the Isle of Lewis, was well-catechetized. So, Carl? Catechism for lads and lasses? "F" for strategic and tactical response! (And I am an Anglican!) Big picture: memorize the shorter catechism and, for adults, Q.1-90. Tell the listeners the value of this.


This much, Carl addresses Catechetical Preaching on the Heidelberg Catechism by way of evening service. "Be subversive" about it with elders, e.g. "let us...?" Puleeze. Do it, Carl. Of course, this is needed. This is painful to hear. "Subversive" with the elders? This catechism, the HC, should be memorized by lads and lasses. Tell the listeners the value of this.
