We love Dr. Carl Trueman's teaching, especially when he sticks to historical theology. Like a lost sheep--occasionally, like all of us--he wanders off, like a misplaced comment on Anglicanism at Ref21 this week. Largely on target in his post there, as usual, but he ruined his comments about not "being mad enough" to be an Anglican. A bit snarky. Two can play that game if pressed. But lest we destroy the broad reaches with which he is appreciated--deeply appreciated and regarded--by us few Reformed Anglicans, we are most thankful for his contribution here. Thankfully, it sounds like Carl will do that--speak as a church historian, not biblical exegete or systematician. A "must-hear," as always with Carl. Thank God for young scholars like this.

Theology and Everyday Life
Four talks on theology and the church today
by Carl Trueman
With incisive wit and bold application, the Editor of Themelios addresses the greatest challenges and issues facing the church today. Looking at the Reformation, contemporary challenges for theology and the life of the church, and the question of what a theological church should look like in practice, Professor Trueman closes the unnatural gap between theology and everyday life. These talks were originally given at the excellent Theology For All Annual Day Conference in September 2006.
This is about an hour long.
Dr. Carl Trueman is Professor of Historical Theology and Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.
