We highly commend the Church Society and its work, especially in the difficulties of remaining within the Church of England.

The author here vindicates Wycliffe from minimizers, bringing forth Wycliffe's committment to sola scriptura. Of note, it appears that Wycliffe had demolished transubstantiation and explicitly anticipated the Reformed, Cranmerian and Calvinistic understanding of the Supper, the Lord's Body in heaven, while yet supernaturally, ineffably, and efficaceously being communicated to believers. In other words, he was not a Romanist nor did he hold to the Sacramental Joinder advocated by Lutheran Churchmen.
