Don't ask Virtue and the ACNA-amalgamasists this question. It is most highly regrettable that Mr. Virtue and his two moderators, Turner and Webber, say little on the English Reformation.

"Why were our Reformers Burned?" Good question. The modern ACNA-ers have not answered this question other than allowing a rebuke to Reformers ("heresies" was his word) by an Orthodox Bishoo at the recent ACNA assembly in Bedford, TX, 22-25 June 2009. http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=10693
I think Virtue's private views may be more Protestant than you imagine. At least he has intimated that to me in private.

So he says, Charlie, yet he retains a biased Anglo-Romewardizer as his moderator...who cuts Protestant commentators off.
ReplyDeleteCuts Protestant commentators off? I was banned from Anglo-Catholic Central for affirming the doctrines and worship of the english Reformation.
ReplyDeleteThis is regrettable that they will not engage the issues like gentlemen. Disagreements, yes, but with gentlimanless. ACs can be as harsh as some fanatics on the Reformed side. Rudeness at the end of the day accomplishes a few thing--closed off communication and isolation. Graciousness, like you have evinced Charles, keeps the communication-lines open with disagreements still in place. You are the man, Charles. Good to have you here
